I am a boba tea-drinking, dog-loving UX/UI designer in San Francisco.
My passion for art began when I first picked up my pack of crayons in Kindergarten. One of my biggest supporters, my Kindergarten teacher, said she saw potential in my artwork and told me to continue drawing. Since then, I have learned to express my creativity and showcase my artistic abilities.
After college, I was grateful to work for Genentech Patient Foundation. I spoke with patients every day, which taught me empathy and attentiveness. I worked with Genentech Patient Foundation on a product website to produce the team's communication platform. This has a positive impact on an increase in work efficiency and translates to Product Design by creating a solution that satisfies users' needs while reaching business goals. Although the website needed an aesthetic, the functionality and efficiency of the product were essential.
Becoming a designer always lingered in the back of my mind. Working with patients made me realize how new technology should be easily accessible and comprehensible for everyone. I am passionate about understanding people and enabling peopleโs enjoyment of their devices. I want to make technology accessible to everyone and come up with new ideas to create positive user experiences.
I told myself, "Yes, UX/UI is what I want to do!"
